Why swap Monero on Wagyu

Wagyu is a private Monero swap and exchange. Send a supported asset such as Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USDT or USDC and receive XMR at your own address. Choose source and destination networks in the token picker. Refunds follow the published compliance policy. Screening happens before execution and may run again during recovery or refunds.

Screening and refund rules are published

Address and transaction screening runs before execution and can run again during recovery or refunds. A failed check normally enters a refund flow, which can require a refund address and further checks. The published compliance policy describes legal restrictions, including court and authorised-government orders.

Track your swap or refund

A Monero swap on Wagyu needs one thing: the address where you want to receive your coins. Your order link lets you follow progress and provide a refund address if needed. Refunds remain subject to compliance checks and legal requirements.

Orderbook rates, not spread-padded quotes

Wagyu routes XMR trades through Hyperliquid's decentralized orderbook. Large orders use TWAP execution: the swap is sliced and filled over time instead of being dumped in one block, which keeps slippage low. Review the estimated proceeds and charges before depositing; market changes can affect the amount received.

Decentralized routing across networks

Bridge aggregation connects the supported chains, while Hyperliquid handles XMR trading. The network catalogue includes Monero, Zcash, Ethereum, Arbitrum, Base, BSC, HyperEVM, Robinhood Chain, Arc, Solana, Bitcoin and Tron; destinations also include Hyperliquid and Sui. Confirm availability for your chosen token when requesting a quote.

Built for Monero users, at Monero scale

Wagyu reports more than $1 billion in cumulative volume, including its earlier swap and bridge services, as of 1 October 2026. Its bridge connects native Monero with XMR1 on Hyperliquid, and Zcash payouts support shielded addresses. View Wagyu’s volume.

How a Monero swap works

  1. Choose your pair and amount

Pick what you send and what you receive, for example BTC to XMR, and enter the amount. You get a live quote with the rate, the fee, the estimated output and the estimated time.

  2. Send to the one-time deposit address

Wagyu creates a durable order with a deposit address and an exact amount. Send from any wallet; no connection required.

  3. Track the order

The order page shows each stage: confirming your deposit, routing, trading on the orderbook, sending. You can keep the page open or come back later with your order link.

  4. Receive XMR at your address

The coins land directly in the wallet you specified. Nothing stays on Wagyu.

If something goes wrong

If something goes wrong, for example a deposit sent on the wrong chain or a route that becomes unavailable, the order switches to a refund state and asks you for a refund address. You never have to open a ticket to get your money back.

Swap any asset to Monero

Every one of these pairs runs through the widget above.

Buying Monero with another crypto is the simplest way to get XMR privately. Send the asset you already hold, receive XMR at your own wallet, done. Every Monero route, with its fee and time, is on the Monero swap page.

Swap Monero to Bitcoin, stablecoins and more

Going the other way works the same: send XMR to the deposit address, receive the asset of your choice on the chain of your choice.

Convert XMR into BTC, another supported cryptocurrency, or a stablecoin on your preferred network. Review the route and receiving address before sending your deposit.

Swap Zcash, paid to your shielded address

Your ZEC arrives private by default. Paste the address from your Zcash wallet and Wagyu pays its shielded part, so nothing about the payout is visible on chain and there is no extra step on your side. u1 and zs1 addresses are paid shielded, t1 addresses work too, and tex1 addresses are refused because they only accept funds from transparent sources.

Each Zcash route shows its own Wagyu fee, minimum and other applicable costs in the quote. You can also swap Monero to Zcash and Zcash to Monero directly. Every Zcash route, with its fee and time, is on the Zcash swap page.

Bridge Monero to Hyperliquid

Wagyu also runs the native bridge between Monero and Hyperliquid. Deposit XMR and receive XMR1, the Monero representation on Hyperliquid, at your Hyperliquid address; send XMR1 back and receive native XMR.

Fees, minimums and timing

Example quotes from Wagyu, checked 1 October 2026. These figures are a snapshot; check your current quote for the selected route and network.

Fees

Example route fees: SOL to XMR 2%, BTC to XMR 2%, XMR to BTC 0%. Your quote shows applicable trading, routing and rounding costs as well. Your deposit network fee is separate; the final output can change during execution.

Minimums

Default-network minimums: SOL to XMR $20, BTC to XMR $40, XMR to BTC $25. Other routes and networks have their own minimums; check the quote before sending.

Timing

Editorial estimates from deposit detection: USDC to XMR on Arbitrum around 1 minute, SOL to XMR around 2 minutes, BTC to XMR around 20 minutes. These are typical times, not measured medians. The widget estimates your actual swap; confirmations and large orders can take longer.

Limits

There is no daily limit. Very large orders are routed in slices; the quote reflects the available liquidity.

Frequently asked questions

Where can I swap XMR privately?

Choose a supported asset, amount and Monero receiving address on this page. Screening and refund rules are set out in the compliance policy.

Can Monero be swapped for Bitcoin?

Yes. Send XMR to the deposit address and receive BTC at your Bitcoin address, or the reverse.

Can my funds be frozen when converting XMR to BTC?

Screening applies before execution. Failed checks normally enter a refund flow, which can require a refund address and further checks. Legal restrictions described in the compliance policy can affect payouts and refunds.

Does Wagyu hold my funds?

No. Your deposit is swapped and sent to your address, or refunded.

What happens if the compliance screening flags my deposit?

Screening runs before execution. A failed check normally enters the refund flow; it can require a refund address and further checks. The compliance policy describes legal restrictions and exceptions.

How long does a Monero swap take?

Typical editorial estimates include around 1 minute for USDC to XMR on Arbitrum and around 20 minutes for BTC to XMR, from deposit detection. Your selected network, confirmations and order size can change the timing. The widget estimates your actual swap. Received XMR needs more confirmations before it is spendable.

Is there a minimum amount?

On default networks, SOL to XMR starts at $20, BTC to XMR at $40, and XMR to BTC at $25. The XMR bridge minimum is 0.01 XMR. Check the quote for your selected route.

Is Wagyu a DEX?

Not in the strict sense, and we prefer to be precise. Cross-chain routing uses a decentralized aggregator and XMR trades execute on Hyperliquid's decentralized orderbook, but the Monero side of the bridge is operated by Wagyu. What protects you is not a label, it is the design: screening before the swap and automatic refunds.

Can I use Wagyu from any country?

Wagyu is available worldwide, except in territories under comprehensive sanctions listed in the compliance policy.

Can I buy Monero with a credit card on Wagyu?

No. Wagyu swaps crypto for crypto. If you are starting from fiat, you need to get your first coins elsewhere and then swap them to XMR here.
